HIV Ag/Ab Combo Rapid Test
Antigen and antibody on one cassette, from a drop of fingerstick blood, read by eye in ten minutes. No reader, no power, no cold chain on site.
Two markers, one cassette.
A shorter window
The test looks for the viral antigen as well as antibodies to HIV-1 and HIV-2. The antigen appears before the antibody response, so a combined test narrows the window in which an early infection can be missed.
No phlebotomy, no laboratory
A drop of blood from the finger is enough. Nothing is centrifuged, nothing is pipetted, and the cassette works on a flat surface at room temperature.
An answer in the same visit
The result is read by eye at ten minutes, which keeps counselling and the result in a single contact with the patient.
A screening test, not a diagnosis.
A reactive result is a signal to confirm, never a diagnosis on its own. Confirmation follows the national testing algorithm, and SHD supplies the laboratory side of that algorithm as well: HIV Combo Ag/Ab runs as an automated assay on the INNOVIQURE analyzers, alongside hepatitis, syphilis and TORCH.
